Humans

Humans

Humans were created once, twice, and then created again. Humans ambition seems to be what gets the best of them. They have sought to push the boundaries time and time again. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds. Humans are more physically diverse than other common races. There is no typical human. Human skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colors from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight males might sport facial hair that is sparse or thick. A lot of humans have a dash of nonhuman blood, revealing hints of elf, orc, or other lineages.

Sub-Races

Humans are so mixed in blood of Humanoids that it is unclear now, as to each person's bloodlines, but there are some traits that allow them to be distinguishable from the last. Human sub-races are often separated by geographical boundaries and can be known by their vastly differing cultures.

Calishite

Humans created in the second age, the Calishite were created to show that humans would be the servants of the gods that they were intended to be. That the ambition humans had shown would not extend to the level it had before. The Calishite were given watch over the Netherese whom the gods would wish to not have the same transgressions as their ancestors. The Calishite created civilizations with towering monuments and beautiful religious structures. They did as the gods had intended for them, but in doing so robbed their kinsman of freedom and used them to build their expansive empires upon. It was through use of the Netherese people that these empires were built, but it was for these crimes against their own kin that the gods did punish them. They did topple their empires and started a third age, one in which they did not rule over all others.

Netherese

Humans created in the first age, the Netherese had grown to wield powerful magics that then became their own undoing. Ruined by their own ambition this Human sub-race was given to be ruled by the guidance of the humans of the second age. The Netherese can now be found having spread across to all cities across the world and on nearly every plane. They have a history of suppression and discrimination wielded against them, but its said that nearly every humanoid has some Netherese blood in them. Marked by the magic their ancestors learned and strong features that distinguish them from other Humans, even now in the third age.

Turami

Humans created by the New Creator Gods during the third age, the Turami were meant to be an improvement to the last sub-races. Turami were created to be intensely loyal to their gods and to serve them by building their societies around them. The Turami are a greatly superstitious lot each with a god to look to in times of need or times of great celebration. Their cities built and ruled with the church and state together. They are fond of religious freedoms, but can often be guilty of seeing the new gods as superior to the old. These humans are well-rounded with the understanding of their ancestors misdeeds and they fear displeasing the gods above all else.
