Davajaav (DAH*vah*jahv)
Davajaav is a young traveler hailing from the steppes, or perhaps beyond. He has come north to the land of Nor' seeing wisdom and enlightenment, and to learn about native traditions of magic (which for him, also include the practices of the local religion). To anyone who will listen, he will tell that he had a master who was training him, but then angrily expelled him for trafficking with the wrong spirits. As Davajaav tells it, one of these spirits pursues him still, and perhaps drove him to the lands of the north.
When he arrived in Aleksandrovka about a month ago, no one would put him up, as he is a heathen. On the other hand, no one would harm him, fearing possible Kochmak reprisals. A solution was found by housing him in Lada's shed, as she already has a questionable reputation, and lives on the outskirts of the village.
Davajaav was able to take to his new environment, as he is a curious person, and able to put up with hardship. He is quite nonplussed by things that others find very upsetting, such as mutilated corpses, and even the idea of consuming human flesh. Perhaps such things are not unprecedented in his culture.
After the group traveled to Zmiihorod, Davajaav, who had been injured in an altercation there, chose to remain at the citadel as a replacement for Vashti bat Leon as the resident healer.
Davajaav dresses in rags with many multicolored ribbons trailing from his vestments. He seems to be very sensitive to changes in weather and other dramatic events around him.
