Old Woman in a Black Cloak

This old woman was encountered, asleep, at an abandoned water mill after the party got lost on the way from Aleksandrovka to Vlasovo. She wore a black cloak (pulled over her head and body), though a long nose was poking out from under her hood. She was resting on a bench. After Ivan addressed her, a cat left her cloak to speak, but Irina and Vashti decided to instead wake and speak to the old lady. The cat quickly hid back in the cloak when she did wake up.
Her raspy voice and insight into the events caused the party to be suspicious of her. When she explained that perhaps Khoma had been influenced by her to kill the potter and feed him to the town, confirmation of witchcraft and consorting with demons became the focus of this conversation; a trade of question for question with the mysterious old lady. Lada quickly left the attic concerned, after the old lady suddenly disappeared, leaving only the cloak behind, concerned, and Ivan left afterwards, confident in how the events played out with Khoma. But not before Vashti apparently vaporized her cat.
Later, when the party traveled to Dubno, she may have been seen in a hut along the riverbank, waving at their boat. She was discovered in a motionless state in the same hut as they traveled back home, but Marina's cutting her finger on her scythe brought her back to life...
