Triton

As the largest and most notable of Neptune's moons, Triton was the first target for Lumen terraformation efforts. The moon's nitrogen geysers and potential subsurface ocean made it an attractive candidate for transformation into a habitable environment.

Terraformation Process

The terraformation of Triton began with the stabilization of its surface temperature and the thickening of its atmosphere. Lumen engineers deployed orbital mirrors and greenhouse gas generators to trap heat and create a more Earth-like climate. Genetically engineered microorganisms were introduced to convert the moon's abundant nitrogen into a breathable atmosphere, while subsurface heating devices were used to melt the icy crust and create liquid water oceans.

Colonization and Development

With the successful terraformation of Triton, Lumen colonists began to establish permanent settlements on the moon. The first colonies were centered around the newly created oceans, where the Lumens constructed floating cities and underwater habitats. Over time, these settlements expanded to cover much of Triton's surface, with the moon becoming a major hub for research, resource extraction, and tourism within the Neptunian system.
