The Fae Incursion

For reasons still unknown, a powerful fae court breached the veil between their realm and the physical world near Mistwood. For a brief period, strange fae creatures roamed the surrounding areas, causing havoc with enchantments and illusions. The Verdant Council, a group of druids and wizards, worked together to close the rift and ensure peace with the fae. The Fae Festival, held annually in Mistwood, commemorates the alliance forged after the incursion.
