Lavan

The second most recent species to join the Conglomerate, lavan are a vulpine species from the frozen planet Ceven. Ceven's ecology led to a slow adoption of agriculture, it took much longer to form the first permanent settlements than it took for other species. Additionally, agrarian society never took off. Difficulty of transport of goods and difficulty of farming ensured much higher population concentration in metropolitan areas than other cultures. Lavan have large families, 10 children is considered small in their society. Lavan are naturally collectivist in most aspects of their life; extended families typically live together in communes.   BIOLOGY
Lavan are bipedal with digitigrade legs, 2 arms, and 3 fingers on each hand. They are covered head-to-toe in fur to survive the harsh cold that forever grips the planet. The fur is white at the base with yellow, black, or orange patterns over top. Lavan ears are round husks that stand off their heads, almost like corn cobs, that catch vibrations from each direction.
