Stimgun
The next step in the evolution of the ship-mounted arms platform, the stimgun replaced the gas-powered guns of the 20th and railguns of the 21st century. Stimguns work by warping space on each side of a bullet to accelerate it. For a split second a negative gravity well is created behind a bullet and a positive gravity well is created ahead of it. Longer barrels can accommodate more generators, increasing muzzle velocity with each one. UCAS Type-8 stim-guns can accelerate a 10kg shell to 8% c. These impact with nearly the same energy as a megaton of TNT exploding. Stimguns have yet to be shrunk to a size usable on ground-vehicles or by soldiers.
