Marriage of Tyrion Lannister and Rhaenys Targaryen

Marriage

301AC

Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, daughter of Queen Elia, marries Lord Tyrion Lannister, and becomes the Lady of Casterly Rock.

The wedding of Lord Tyrion Lannister to Princess Rhaenys Targaryen proved an affair most splendid. Funded by the wealth of the West and hosted by the Royal Family, the two said their vows in the Great Sept of Baelor in 301 AC, the groom thirty and the bride three-and-twenty. None spoke of the Lannister’s dwarfism, as he was a leal friend to Crown Prince Aemon and the Realm’s Delight and thus shared in the people’s love through them. His Princess bride doted on him absolutely, never once speaking against him or of him harshly or cruelly, her universal kindness well-known. In one stroke she was made Lady of Casterly Rock with her husband’s ascension to his father’s titles, and left westward with her new husband shortly after festivities were complete.
