Anadi

Anadi are intelligent and wise spiders that can shift between an octopedal form and bipedal forms.
Their "true" spider form is mostly used in their web-based settlements where it is the most effective way of getting around town. The hybrid bipedal form is an evolutionary trait that developed to enable tool creation and use. This hybrid form retains the 8 prehensile limbs of their natural form and 8 eyes. When dealing with arrival cultures, Anadi often take on an alternative bipedal form using transmutation and illusion magic to make them appear almost human.
Anadi are most commonly found on Vrarrl where the Nurvatcha culture has spread over most of the north-east of the continent. Darklands Anadi of the Qavhieki culture colonised Latakral several centuries ago, establishing several settlements on the hubward coast.
