Artis is a ranking member of the Grey Covenant and the primary member in residence in Abesko . He is not a warcaster, meaning that he has not trained in Steamjack control but he is an accomplished practitioner of Left Handed Magic .
While Artis is an accomplished magician, he is a shy man and new to the demands of leadership. There are only a few members of the Grey Covenant in Abesko , but he feels very responsible to presenting a good image to the public.
In an ill-advised attempt to enhance the membership in the Grey Covenant , he asked the Lion's Pride to seek out Simao in September of MS 5092. She responded with a public rejection, that lowered his status in the eyes of his peers.
