Ostov exists primarily as logging and milling town. Most of the village citizens chop or work trees from the neighboring forests. After years of mismanagement, the village council is now careful to plant as many trees as they harvest and avoid the deep woods.
The city hosts minor shrines to Shar and Korresh .
