History

The wizard Martek  gave the star gem to the pharaoh Amun-Re of the house of Mo-Pelar, who had it placed in his tomb. The pharaoh would later use the Star Gem as part of a death curse uttered in Osiris' name which dried the River Athis; this barred his soul from the afterlife.The curse stayed in place until Loser's Club Loots the Tomb of Amun-Re  , using it to restore Martek  to life.
