Immediately after Queen Beatrix was crowned, the General Marcus of the Enirian army, hatched a plot to kill the new queen regent. Unfortunately for him and his 50 personal guards, the rest of the army decided not to betray the royal family. He was expecting that he would be able to discard of the queen, take the young prince hostage, and then wait for the army to arrive, to force the goverment into recognizing him as king. To make it worse, the royal guards remained royal, and a skirmish ensued inside the palace. Beatrix herself fought in the battle, although not that much. She reportedly broke her foot after kicking an enemy soldier in the nuts. In the end, the royal guard won, and Marcus was taken prisoner. Beatrix had concolidated her power, and made sure that all who doubted her now supported her.
A diplomat from Cacester, King Julius's loyal vassal city, arrives to the capital. When he enters the throne room, Beatrix is resting her foot on a chair, covered in the flag of General Marcus's house. The diplomat looks at it, to which Beatrix responds that she broke her foot when she kicked one of Marcus's men during the fight. The diplomat is very impressed, and asks about the flag, to which Beatrix responds with a grim smile, that his family won't be needing it anymore. The diplomat takes a few seconds to think, before he declares that Cacester always has been loyal to the royal family, and will continue during so in the future.
