Vorlen

Vorlen the Wanderer, God of Freedom (a.k.a. Stormlord)

One of the eight divines of Magvel, Vorlen is fabled to have created a wondrous flying ship to carry the gods between their numerous battles in the strife ages.

Beliefs

Weather the Storm
The storm cares for no man. The storm does not care for justice or peace. The storm is a challenge to be faced, an opponent to be bested, and sometimes, an ally to be wooed.
Accept the Winds of Fate
All life is chaos, not even the gods can change that. As mortals, we must accept that sometimes we will try and fail, and the path we take may still be worth traveling.
Lightning Does Not Strike Twice
Seize opportunities when they arrive. Destiny comes to those bold enough to take it for themselves. Braving the storm is always a risk, but some risks are worth taking.
The Eye of the Storm: Finding your Center
No matter how strongly a hurricane rages, there is always an eye, a place of peace at the center of the chaos. Many clerics of Vorlen believe they can achieve clarity in times of trouble by finding their eye of the storm a state of intense focus and clarity that moves with the tempest rather than fighting its progress.
Embrace Freedom and Independence
To the followers of Vorlen, freedom and independence are the most important aspects of life. They believe that one should live life as they choose, without the restrictions of societal norms or the expectations of others. Every person has the right to be their own master, to live as they please, and to follow their dreams. They hold that it is only by embracing the freedom that one can truly find happiness and fulfillment in life.
The World is Your Playground
Vorlen's followers believe that the world is their playground, and they should explore it to their heart's content. They seek out new places, new people, and new experiences, revelling in the excitement of the unknown. They believe that travel is not just a physical journey but a spiritual one, expanding their horizons.
Freedom and Independence
The followers of Vorlen believe that true freedom can only be attained when one has the independence to follow their own path. They value individuality and independence and view restrictions and restraints as anathema to personal growth and happiness.
Embracing Change and Travel
The Wanderer teaches that change and travel are the keys to personal growth and fulfillment. Life is an adventure, and those who are willing to take risks and explore the unknown will find that the journey is more rewarding than the destination.
Power of Nature
Vorlen is associated with the forces of nature, such as the wind, rain, and sea. His followers believe that these elements are powerful and unpredictable and that they should be respected and revered.
Trickery and Tempest
Vorlen is also associated with trickery and tempest. His followers believe that sometimes, it is necessary to use cunning and deception to achieve one's goals. They also believe that storms and other tempestuous events can be a source of power and inspiration and that they should not be feared.
Celebration of Life
The Wanderer teaches that life is a precious gift that should be celebrated and enjoyed to the fullest. His followers value laughter, music, and merriment, and believe that a life well-lived is one that is filled with joy and adventure.
"It is only in sorrow bad weather masters us; in joy we face the storm and defy it. It is not light that we need, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake."
-Zomros Manozath

"Blue hills, along the horizon hugging
Like a mountain range in mist
Lightning flashing, thunder crashing
Part of God's almighty fist.
Clouds descending, bowing deeper
Within their centre, shadows form.
And, as if this world's a sleeper
It lays waiting for the storm."
