Blightlands

Although it is too large to be considered a true isthmus, the land commonly referred to as The Blightlands serves as the sole land bridge between East and West Ymmaria. During the historical age known as the Clash of Scions it was rife with centuries of violence, death, and bloodshed. When Vexerrigen's Curse brought the Age to an end, the region became overrun with undead horrors. Since that time the southern Ymmari Isthmus has been known as "The Blightlands" and rightly avoided by the sane and soul fearing.

Geography

The land has become a cold and cracked desert bordered by the Sea of Tempests on the north and the Sea of Sorrows to the south.  The Doomwater gives the Blightlands an eastern edge, while the Wall of Gmyr looms over the western boundary.
