Gloaming Concord
At the end of the era known The Fractured Epoch the Elves of Lhun Glad found themselves in a perilous situation. Unable to halt the human and demi-human forces that encroached upon their lands, the elven king made a plea to a group of Archfey in the Feywild for help. Answering his call, the Archfey began a strategic campaign of kidnapping; targeting the noble families, generals, and dignitaries of the elves' enemies.
This horrendous act was actually allowed to go on for a number of months before the invading forces acquiesced. Their surrender led to a great conclave in a castle at the center of East Ymmarion. In the castle halls the kingdoms of men, dwarves, elves, as well as the other warring nations, signed a contract with the Archfey. The terms of this contract, known as the Gloaming Concord, stated that the warring nations must end their aggression with the Elves and with each other as well as stop their expansion into the wilds of East Ymmarion. In return they would have their children returned and bear witness to 444 years of peace.
The Concord was signed and a new era began for East Ymmarion, known as the Gloaming Centuries.
It should be noted, however, that not all parties had their children returned to them. There were a handful of aggressors who balked at the first foray of kidnappings and continued to make war upon the elves. Although these forces and individuals eventually signed the Concord as well, their actions were deemed too reprehensible to go unpunished and their children were kept as a bond against future aggression.
