Elves of Lhun Glad

The wood elves of Lhun Glad are known for their fearsome magical prowess, skill at arms, and fierce love for their forest home. They can be encountered in most every part of Lhun Glad, but keep their ancestral home at the elven city of Tathren Adar.   They are fair of skin, fleet of foot, and usually accouter themselves in shades of blue, purple, and white to help them blend into their surroundings.   The Elves of Lhun Glad played an especially important (and some would argue terrifying) role in the war between the races of East Ymmarion during the The Fractured Epoch. Unable to fend off the aggressors that encroached further into their lands, the King of the Wood Elves struck a bargain with his Archyfey masters in the faerie plane known as the Feywild. The exact terms of his bargain are unknown to most, but the result had repercussions that led to the end of an era.   With the help of the Archfey, the elves began a campaign of selectively kidnapping children; strategically targeting noble families, dignitaries, and important members of the opposing forces. This extreme (and many would argue horrendous) measure eventually brought their enemies to the negotiating table to sign The Gloaming Concord. Although this agreement brought centuries of peace to East Ymmarion, many of the other races held resentment towards the Elves of Lhun Glad for generations. In the Current Age, most of this resentment has faded into mild suspicion and anxiety, a factor that the elves don't mind using to their advantage when necessary.

Territories

The Elves occupy the entirety of the Lhun Glad forest, although they are more highly concentrated around Tathren Adar.

Military

The Elves have a number of ranger platoons that patrol their forest and are able to mobilize a middling force when necessary.  They rely more heavily on their magical might when dealing with larger threats, and have a number of mage squads at the ready.

Foreign Relations

The Elves of Lhun Glad are located centrally to a number of different civilizations but the specter of their role in The Gloaming Concord has made the Three Kingdoms wary of entering into any bargains or trade deals.     The elves prefer to deal instead with the more diverse (and less amibitious) free cities of Lasthome to the south and Spectross, over the ocean to the east.   The Elves of Lhun glad are on good terms with their sea-faring cousins The Elves of Amrun Told, and welcome them into the forest as family whenever they meet.
