Verdant Expanse

The Verdant Expanse is the largest forest in East Ymmarion, stretching approximately 1500 miles and running northwest/southeast from the outer borders of the city of Tyrmach, over the Serpentine River and into the kingdom of Oryus.

Geography

The trees of the expanse cover a wide range of grounds, from flat river banks, to hills and rocky bluffs, to lake shores, and flatlands.

Fauna & Flora

A great variety of flora and fauna can be found throughout the expanse, with northern specimens favoring warmer climates to those of the south. The Expanse is also home to a number of monsters and can be a dangerous place to those who wander in unwisely.

Natural Resources

The vastness of the Verdant Expanse make it rich in natural resources.  It has been used for timber for many centuries and a number of medicinal plants and fungi can be found there.
