Vicugan: The Legend

Legend tells of a third metropolis of the Zin Zareth. Deep within, Vicugan was an oasis. It was said to be blessed by a deity's presence in this world. Despite being isolated from the rest of the world due to the Zin Zareth, the priests that ran the civilization were empowered to bend reality around them. Daily miracles spanned the gulf from rearranging the city as needed to “merely” conjuring food from the air to feed the masses. Vicugan was a place of peace and sought trouble from no one as it needed nothing and shared all. Both Bactran and Draman use it as an inspirational model though both fall short of even it's shadow.   Vicugan was title “The Divine Threshold” due to its supposed link to the upper planes. The Theocracy is a continual part of any tale though there is no consistency in who the city might have been devoted to. Suggested answers include Sun dieties, Law and Order, Reincarnation, and even Death. What is agreed upon is that whatever beliefs led the city, they were variant doctrines from what continued on into present day. If their doctrine had continued, there would be footnotes leading back to Vicugan   While contradictory legends and myths share tales and stories of Vicugan, little is actually known of it's day to day life. Half of the academics on the Zin Zareth don't even believe it to not be real due to there being no evidence of it. If it did exist, it was already a legend during the Age of Heroism. No expedition seeking it out has ever returned with evidence of it. Only a fraction of the expeditions make it back out of the desert. Most that go in are led by eclectic individuals either confident that they have cracked the mystery or by those who have nothing left to lose.   Keep your eyes peeled for the true developments of Vicugan after it's discovery by the Silver Wardens !
