The stress and mourning with Myska's Menagerie lead to further fractures and a returning to Bactran.

The companions spent the next day flying back down to Lybonpost as a primary waypoint.
What followed would be a down-day just trying to regather themselves. After some minor shopping (Crush failed to find potions or a book on draconic but did get three other tomes), the companions needed a path forward.
Continued talks of going after the white dragon broke down on multiple fronts. If Scizzord had succeeded on that mission of sneaking in and out, going in to anger the dragon might not be the best idea. Really, all the info they needed was that Scizzord was powerful enough to do that. Moreso than that, Temren Kut refused to fly out to a white dragon days or weeks of tundra between them and civilization. He had agreed to way points. One of the first rules established was no open tundra, no middle of the desert, nothing like that. Crush tried to threaten Temren's life in pursuit of the dragon. The man looked to Astrid for the validity of that threat. Astrid wouldn't let it stand.
The pilot did not fight for the airship saying he would happily winter in Lybonpost than do what Crush wanted. Astrid however wasn't going to leave him in this frigid isolation. Multiple ideas were thrown out but eventually it was agreed to take Temren back to Bactran. The flight was marked by the strong sense that Temren would not be joining the companions on any future endeavors. However well it paid, he had established his lines and Crush showed that not only would they try to break him, they would threaten his life to force the situation.
The companions made their way back to Bactran over the next four days. Astrid did her best to learn the art of the aircraft from Temren Kut during his shifts. She wanted to be able to take his place to not cut the speed of the vessel by 12 hours a day but two shifts does not a sailor make. Aside from the bare basics with little practice, not much more was gained in this trip.
