The Darkhearts

In the Imperial age, King Eternal Yarlon Starblight ruled from the years 0 to 586 of the Imperial Age (fourth era). During that time, his confidant, Arturo Felsbane stole his heart and used in a dark ritual that destroyed old Ignacia. That location later became known as the Blood Swamp, and Ignacia was rebuilt to the east of it.
Yarlon Starblight sealed Arturo Felsbane in a crypt in the blood swamp for his treachery, and survived hundreds of years without a heart until the Day of Eternal Sadness, in which he was killed by a siege from the Order of the Silverblade.
After his death, his son, Sarak Starblight took the throne, until his assassination by the hand of a Silverblade, Elmer Golderheart in 845 IA. After his death, his heart was missing. This has led to rumors and superstitions revolving around the Darkheart, or the heart of Sarak Starblight, as it is said that the heart of a King hold strong magical properties, and can be used for great destruction and evil. It is rumored that Arturo Felsbane himself was behind the death of the King Eternal, and is seeking to complete the ritual he started.
