Hill Dvergr
Also referred to as surface dvergr the hill dvergr (so named for their penchant for settling in hilly, highland areas) represent the diaspora of dvergr that reside above-ground in non-dvergr lands. The original ancestors of these dvergr were those who, after the destruction of the gate to Niðavellir, choose to settle and reside on the surface as opposed to the ancestors of the mountain dvergr who founded new dvergr cities in the mountains. Over the generations mountain dvergr criminals, exiles, and malcontents have intermarried with the hill dvergr and helped the population grow. Their culture is a mixture of traditional dvergr culture and the cultures of those they live in close proximity to.
