Einherjarsholl

Two giant wooden halls are joined by a single hallway. The support beams are carved with ornate pictures of dragons and warriors in battle. On the back side of the great halls is a large dirt arena where people train with various types of arms. Inside the southern hall is row after row of beds. All neatly made up with a lock chest at the foot of each. The lock chest bears the owners name, carved into the top. The northern hall features a small cooking area and then row upon row benches for the people to gather and eat. In the middle of each hall a great fire roars in the hearth.   The Einherjarsholl is where Daufala trains its army. Every year, all five-year-old's in Daufala are entered into a lot. Those chosen are taken from their families and sent to the Einherjarsholl to become soldiers. Their life is one of warfare and training until the age of 30. At that point, they are freed from their bonds to the military and may live whatever life they choose. Those that make it to retirement are even guaranteed living wages from the state.   Conrad Fichten is the commander at Einherjarsholl. Having passed the challenges at the Kämpfergrund, he is not only a Drengr, but he is one of those pledged to the service of Jarl Jovi. It is the commander’s job to ensure that the up-and-coming army recruits are in tip top shape for the yearly raids. As such, Conrad is a man of action and has little time for idle chat. He takes his job incredibly seriously. One would never doubt that looking at the man. He is a large Dwarven male, with a bald head and a great bushy, red beard. His low grumbling voice seems to penetrate all noise in a room, and though most look down to see him speak, those same people would agree that he presents himself as the tallest in the room. Commander Fichten survived multiple excursions into the Wildlands and it is said that while there he displayed the utmost brutality to his enemies.
