Flagellata
Heterotrophic predators, which are highly mobile and posses early sensory organs to make out light, movement and chemical composition in the water around them. They also have contractile vacuoles to pump out excess water. Their main distinctions are the existence of a cytostome and the flagellum, from which it name stems. The flagellum is a whip-like structure originally at the back end of the creature, which can whip or propell the organism forward. All Flagellata are able to produce sexually throuh conjugation as well as asexually through divide.
