Barathor

Barathor, named after the Plains of Barathord, is a small village on the southern end of the plains. This settlement is still fairly new and hasn't made much of a name for itself yet sporting mostly subsistence farmers and collecting herbs and ingredients from the nearby Charly Woods. Many Orcs come to Barathor to prove themselves to Gowther at the proving grounds and join the legions of Sunreach. Not many orcs have done this as of yet as many of the orcs are still relatively set in their ways, but there has been a handful. The town is governed by Gowther who is responsible for ensuring the orcs joining are fit to join Sunreach's forces.
The town has marshland the is suited for growing sugar and vanilla which will eventually be lucrative once expanded, but as of yet can only be managed at a fairly small scale. The woods nearby are a great source of darkwood which is significantly denser than most other woods making it harder to transport but much stronger when building houses and fortifications. There are also large tracts of land for cattle and breeding orcish war mounts. Orcs have also made communes in the village making orcish trinkets, totems, and weapons.

Infrastructure

Two major buildings in Barathor are Sharpspire keep and The bloodhouse. The proving grounds is also in Barathor, but is more a field than a building.
