The Desperado

The Desperado is a massive dreadnought that acts as the capital ship of the Troubadours. It is a mobile base of operations as well as a training ground for prospective recruits to the inner workings of their organization. The organization would have no trouble making a place for such things on a planitary surface, but Etrik Mech-Miester, like nearly every leader of the mercenary guild before him, felt the ship was too useful as a symbol of the organization's abilities, even if the machine hadn't fired its guns in anger in 25 years.

History

The Desperado was captured from a space fairing power long faded away to obscurity some 4500 years ago, but the ship lives on as a testimate to the tenacity of a fledgling organization out to prove its worth to a skeptical galaxy. To this day it stands as the greatest military conquest made by the mercenary organization who stole it right out from under a despot attempting to hold a planet hostage with its rail gun cannons.
