General Physical Condition

Mechaton is in effect a giant armored octopus with glowing red eyes. Being fully disarmed, the mechs only weapons are it's eight robotic tentacles. Given it's size, though, these are dangerous enough.

Personal history

Mechaton2020 was built by HIVE as a prototype weapon of mass destruction in the early sixties. The hundred ton mech is equipped with a zero point energy matrix, stolen from Hierophant. Mechaton2020 was originally equipped with multiple energy weapons and hypersonic antitank missle arrays.
HIVE's reign over the machine ended when it unexpectedly became self aware, destroying the lab in which it was created. With the original plans lost, and it's creators dead, Mechaton is the sole model in existance.
Mechaton has been a constant foe of the Legendary Union of Heroes and Hierophant. Most recently he was captured and disarmed, and sent to The Well serving a life sentence. It has yet to be determined what that means.
