Avians are defined by their feathery wings, a charactaristic unique to them (as opposed to the commonalities of things such as horns, fangs, and claws across hybrid species). They also have lighter bones and larger lungs to allow for flight.
Their wings may vary in size and shape, leading to subcultures of those with similar types of wings.
Avians may also have talons, either on their feet or as claws on the fingers/hands.
