Pearl Baron

Career

Career Progression

Often a Pearl Baron will start out with a single enderman, typically a dead one. They will eventually begin to grow their collection, sometimes expanding into keeping live endermen, as living endermen produce higher quality (further distance, less likely to shatter on their own) Ender Pearls.   If keeping live endermen, Barons will often expand into trafficking, inviting those in their circle to have sex or commit other injury to the body for a price while the enderman is in captivity. This leads to Enderian's considered attractive or rare being kept by barons.   A Baron that keeps live endermen is sometimes refered to as a Life Dealer or Live Baron, while Barons that keep dead endermen may be refered to as a Death Dealer or Dead Baron

Other Benefits

Though anonymous, Pearl Barons and Baronesses often make themselves quite wealthy with this profession.

Perception

Purpose

Pearl Barons harvest and sell Ender Pearls, an organ that grows within an Enderian's body. When extracted, these pearls allow the user to teleport distances without the need to be alongside a living Enderian. They are often used in extremely expensive jewerly, often reserved for royalty.

Social Status

Pearl Barons are underground, hiding their operations from legal systems across the globe. Outside of their own circles, Barons are often criticised by even their own customers.

Demographics

Most Pearl Barons are human, though other hybrid species have been known to take up the profession.   Both men and women are active members of this field, with women being less lickely to be caught. A female Pearl Baron is referred to as a Baroness.
