The Zvenacha are a counter-culture within Demia who seek to detach themselves from larger Demian society for its perceived glorification of violence and competition.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Zvenachans speak their local varieties of the Draxu language but have several slang terms that are strongly connected to the group which are frequently used to distance themselves from the mainstream Demians.

Shared customary codes and values

Non-violence

The Zvenacha movement is known for its staunch pacifism. They detest the martial culture of the Demians and seek to live without inflicting harm on others. To this end, they are even known to embrace veganism, something that is very uncommon in wider Demian society.

Non-competition

The Zvenachans view Demian culture as being built upon competition with one's fellow man. The Zvanchans seek to live their lives without competing with others unless absolutely necessary. This is the viewpoint that is most often scrutinized by outsiders as the movement itself is in competition with the wider Demian cultural identity.

Liberty

The Zvenachans see themselves as being the most liberated people in the world; freely able to live their lives without fear of violence or competition, to worship who they wish or refrain from worship altogether, and to do so despite the 'oppressive' and 'barbaric' culture surrounding them.
