Pride

Pride is considered the original and most serious of the seven cardinal sins. Also known as hubris, or futility, it is identified as dangerously corrupt selfishness, the putting of one's own desires, urges, wants, and whims before the welfare of other people. It is one of the seven cardinal sins, believed by the Ascan pantheon to be introduced to the world by the influence of The Nine Hells and specifically Asmodeus.

Those of a particularly acute prideful disposition by be considered be considered a Cardinal Sinner, and may attract the interest of forces both good and evil.
