Rendar Weiss

Ratlogi, an unremarkable goblin, was born into the Valdilich Clan near Lichfield Grove. One day while scouting for an upcoming raid he climbed a large oak to get a better vantage, ignoring the signs of an impending thunderstorm. When the tree was struck by lightning, he was blasted from the top and rendered unconscious for nearly a week.
When he finally awoke back in his clan's cave and recovered from his injuries, he found that he was completely disgusted by his brethren. Their behavior and mannerisms for some reason disturbed him and he just couldn't tolerate living in the horde any longer. One night he stole supplies from the chieftain's stash of treasure and fled the cave, not sure of where he was going but certain he had to leave.
At first he survived on the edge of Lichfield Grove, stealing food and other necessities from the villagers while they slept. He eventually made his way to other villages and towns, beginning to study the mannerisms of the civilized races. He began to read discarded books and listen to the performances of bards. These interactions made him want to join society, but he needed a plan.
He began to style himself as a former noble named Rendar Weiss, cursed by a malevolent enchantress into a goblin form. Using this cover and adopting the manners of a pompous noble, he made his way east, crossing the Gildedwater River, and eventually found work among criminals as a burglar, though he believed himself to a "gentleman thief." Supposedly he  was seeking a means to reverse his curse, but in reality he merely wants to have enough wealth to buy a respectable place in polite society.
Thievery proved to be counter productive to this ultimate goal, so now he hopes to use his skills as an adventurer to make gold quickly without creating a noteworthy criminal profile.

He does his best to be jovial and friendly, knowing that his appearance puts him at a severe disadvantage. He is obsessed with manners and good hygiene, partly for his noble cover story and partly because he hates typical goblin stereotypes.
