Early Life

Jonas Prado was born under a different name, in a different body. Initially he performed femininity as was expected from a noble's daughter. However, as he grew older he realized it wasn't what fit him, and he began to be stifled under those expectations. He eventually left his home, and followed rumors of the Old Gods, who upon being given offerings of blood, would change one's shape. Those rumors were right. Jonas Prado cut open his breasts and jumped into the sea off the coast of the Needle. He sank, but did not die of blood loss. Instead, Qhil changed him, taking his unwanted parts and allowing him to resurface, changed.

The Prison Island

He was later arrested on unknown charges, though most likely related to Qhil worship. He was sent to the same prison island that the rest of the people that would later form the Hydra's Curse were on. They met, they banded together, and on a full moon they broke out of that prison, stealing a ship and fleeing into the vast sea.

Often awkward and shy, Prado spends most of his time in the hold, rearranging the crew's supplies. When pressed, he can make conversation, but it is stilted and feels rehearsed.
