Revolution
Forces loyal to Glug start a revolution in Darkport.
In the spring of the year 86, a Goblin priest of Glug, named Kraggar Maneater, arose in the northern Goblin Wastes. Kraggar declared that the control of the Hobgoblins by Darkport was an affront to the power of Glug. At his command, thousands of Goblins and other greenskins poured over the borders into Darkport and began killing indiscriminately.
Recognizing the challenge to her rule, Cylence Coldeyes mustered the army of Darkport and lead them against the Goblin horde. The battle went well for Darkport, until the betrayal of the Bloodspike legion, a powerful Hobgoblin tribe. The Bloodspike legion turned on the forces of Darkport and struck hard against their flank, nearly overwhelming it. It was only by the sheer force of will of Lady Cylence that the forces of Darkport managed to hold together.
As the forces of Darkport were pushed back, Cylence and the priests of Omadon that served her made contact with the Pit Fiend, Galriadd. Cylence promised Galriadd the lives of 1000 slaves in sacrifice to fight on her behalf against the Goblins. The mighty pit fiend accepted the offer and stepped through the gate into the prime material world.
In an orgy of violence, Galriadd swept through the goblin forces killing and scattering them wherever he went. As he reached Kaggar Maneater, he was surprised to find the small goblin bore the favor of Glug in the form of a powerful devil slaying sword, empowered by the magics of the abyss.
Kraggar proved to be more than the pit fiend could handle, and though it cost him his entire army, the Goblin warrior managed to slay Galriadd’s physical form, banishing him to the nine hells for one hundred and one years.
But the pit fiend had done its work, and allowed for Cylence and her personal guard to reach the exhausted and weakened goblin warrior. Cylence was able to defeat him handily, but rather than kill the creature Cylence used her powers to bind Kraggar Maneater into a pendant that would preserve the Goblin warrior and force him to fight at Cylence’s command whenever she summoned him.
This action gained Cylence the ire of the church of Glug, who have waged a number of campaigns to overthrow her in the succeeding decades
