Shauraseni Desert

A massive desert stretches from the western border of the Uncrowned Lands all the way to the blessed lands in the far west. The sands in between are home to unbearable heat, horrifying monsters and the bones of dead empires. Few people can survive here, those that do are almost always nomadic, and even then they depend on what few oases and watering holes the desert has to sustain their journey.
There's only one major population in this area, the city-state of Barul at the southern tip of the arrowhead peninsula, where the desert finally meets the ocean.
