Orcish Tribes

Tribe of Orsinia:

Orsinian orcs are typically large, muscular, grey or black of skin and extremely used to great heat. Their claim to be the original tribe Gruumsh sent to Medolania to wreak havoc on the non-believers is not entirely based in myth, though it is not entirely based in fact either.   Their territory is self-contained, living within the mountains of Mount Orsinium. They live a sober life, as the largest of all remaining tribes, they keep themselves out of worldly affairs as much as possible, maintaining good relations with the Goliath folk, grudging relations with the Dragonborn and ignoring everyone else that they can. Outsiders know not what occurs in the mountain, though stories tell of a conflict occurring below, between Orcs and beasts of the deep.   Due to their lifestyle, Orsinian orcs are typically proficient at fighting, mining, feats of strength, alchemy and bear a great tolerance for pain.

Tribe of the Laughing Tree:

The Tribe of the Laughing Tree, commonly referred to as the Laughing Orcs, are a civilised tribe of Orcs basing themselves around a tavern in Drakkenhaus called "The Laughing Tree."   They bear little resemblance to most other orcs, having assimilated with the Draconic population and interbed, their appearances vary greatly and they actively welcome half-orcs into their ranks. The tavern itself is owned by their chief, Malacor, and has been passed down through generations since the resettling. In their own way, they mock Orcish culture, allowing only the most proficient at pulling pints to be called chief.   These folks come from all walks of life, though a large portion of them are skilled craftsmen and mercenaries.

Tribe of the Wyvern:

Wyvern Tribe orcs are contrarily named, for the sign of adulthood in this tribe is to slay a full-grown Wyvern in single-combat. This tribe can be found around the Hellish Peaks, the Sapphire Mountains and Mount Orsinium, her numbers are thin due to her belief in only accepting the strongest into her ranks.   Members of this tribe are typically green or blue of skin, with large fangs and bulky arms, well-suited to the harsh environments they find themselves in. As fitting their life style, they are typically adept at alchemy, hunting, tracking, handling animals and, surprisingly, diplomacy.

Tribe of the Machine:

This Orcish tribe is actually relatively new, declared in 190 TA, based entirely off of a heist on a Dwarvish military convoy where dozens of Warforged machines, non-sapient machines of war and crates of military equipment were stolen by breakaways from the tribe of Orsinia.   Reasoning with these Orcs is difficult, as not all of them are Orcs, some are Warforged that firmly believe that they are Orcs and act, imitate and behave as a typical Orc would. Any contradiction to this fact is punishable by death. There are no real professions in this particular tribe, as they roam the continent, striking, raiding and performing mercenary tasks wherever they fancy, with the lethality of warforged and Orcish blood on their side.   Of course, these are only some of the tribes documented within Medolania. Some of these tribes are the largest, some are small but noteworthy, though there are hundreds of Orcish sub-cultures that are yet to be discovered, documented or otherwise make themselves noteworthy.
