The Cave of Nightmares

A dark cave in the northern cliff face of Terra's Scar. Few who enter ever return and those who do make it out do so without their sanity, driven mad by pure terror. There have been many attempts to seal the cave however none stick, almost as if the cave simply wills itself back open. Those who remain in close proximity to the cave for too long begin showing signs of madness and many people have claimed to hear an unintelligible whsipering voice attempting to lure them inside.

Legends and rumour abound about the origins and purpose of the cave, but the two leading theories are that it is either a gateway into the The Fearscape or is the home to a horrific monster that feeds off of fear. Either way, it is often given a wide berth.
