Demons

Demons hail from The Abyss, a realm located beneath the soul forge. It is thought that demons are the corrupted souls of men and beasts, twisted by Faramel into wicked creatures. There are countless species of demon, but they can be split into two groups: Daemons and Demonic Beasts. It is thought that Daemons are the souls of sentient mortal races and Demon Beasts are the souls of beasts that have died and been twisted into monstrous creatures. There is a third type, Demon Lords, though these are just extremely powerful demons rather than their own species. Regardless, they are significant enough to be counted separately, so outlined below are the 3 categories of demons found in Meintalia.
