Stalker
Often found hunting in rocky canyons and ruins, stalkers are near-blind predators that often spend a long time watching their prey, waiting for the best moment to ambush them, thus the name stalker.
Characteristics
Stalkers are four limbed creatures with pale skin and long, incredibly sharp claws. Although they have eyes, their vision is quite poor and works mostly so that it may distinguish different amounts of light in it's surroundings. They have a keen hearing and an incredible sense of smell, being capable to smelling blood over a mile away.
Their pale skin makes it so that they very rarely go out in sunlight, often choosing to hide in gaps and small caves around their environment. Due to this sensitivity, stalkers choose to rest during the day and go out searching for prey during dusk. Although their skin is quite fragile to fire and sunburns, it makes up for it by being very resistant to cuts, bruises and bashes, while also helping the creature cope with the cold, as stalkers can survive in temperatures way lower than the freezing point of water.
Considered nasty creatures, they harbour quite an unpleasant smell. Their flesh is considered dangerous for consumption even when cooked, as stalkers carry many diseases and pathogens.
