Davon is Harlan's eldest son. After his mother died, Davon lost his father to some degree as well, with Harlan turning to the comradery of his brothers on the battlefield rather than his remaining family at home. Despite his father turning to focus on tourneys and battles in the name of Dorne, Davon was not taken alongside him; Davon has recently left his home to travel to Ny Sar to compete in a tourney, hoping to earn glory for his house and Dorne, but moreover his father's approval and affections once more.
