House Crakehall

House Crakehall is one of the noble houses from the Westerlands. Known for their ancestral seat, Crakehall, located in the Westerlands near the coast of the Sunset Sea. Crakehalls are renowned for their physical prowess and have produced several notable warriors throughout the series. They are characterized by their strength, with members often described as broad-shouldered and muscular, epitomizing the archetypical Westerland knight. House Crakehall has remained a steadfast ally to the Targaryens, contributing both strategically and on the battlefield. While not as politically prominent as some other Westerlands families, their loyalty and strength have been crucial in maintaining the stability and power of their region. Although they are not one of the wealthier families, they can field an impressive army when called upon, some say even rivaling the military strength of House Bracken.   Their sigil, the brindled boar, symbolizes their fierce determination and unyielding nature. It is a testament to the spirit that runs through every member of their house.
