A veteran of the Northern Independece war agaisnt Visenya Targayren, Jory is the Uncle of the current Lord of Acorn Water. He served with valor in the conflict. Aiding John Stark with any and all needs. A cunning solider whom has been apart of his guards since his crowning. He has a fiercesome reputation as a warrior. During the death of John Stark, Jory was at his Nephews hold. The death lingers on him dreadfully. Blaming himself for not being by his side. Not there to protect him. To make amends he headed to find Lyanna. Swearing his sword and vowing to protect her agaisnt all others. Something he could not do for her father. He seems himself as a surrogate, though Lyanna does not see it that way. They relationship strains constantly, with the girl wishing to still live a life while the old man only wishes for her to be safe. In the end there are not many who would do more for the girl. He'd ever fall on his own sword for her.
