Lorath
Lorath is one of the Nine Free Cities. It is in a group of islands in the Shivering Sea, near the northern coast of Essos. Lorath is on the west side of the largest of three islands surrounded by stormy seas. To the south of the isles is a thickly forested peninsula, which is harvested extensively for lumber. The Lorathi also claim dominion over the waters of Lorath Bay. To the south is the Axe and it is east of Braavos. The Lorathi isles are bleak and stony, but in their waters plenty of cod, whales, and grey leviathans can be found, and colonies of walrus and seal. Salt cod, walrus tusks, sealskins, and whale oil form the greater part of Lorath's trade. Over the last decade, after the collapse of Braavos, the city has been nicknamed "New Braavos" after many of the Nobles and Bankers fled there and established it as a military and economic stronghold, against any future Targaryen Invasions.
