Ser Riddick Ruthermont is the younger brother of Lord Robar Ruthermont and a formidable warrior of House Ruthermont. Though not tall, his powerful build and large, muscular hands make him a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. He is known for his exceptional skill with a battle axe, preferring its weight and power to more conventional weapons. Ser Riddick wears lighter armor to maximize his speed and agility, often leading the charge alongside his troops. His fearlessness and vigor in battle have earned him great respect among his men, who view him as both a leader and a brother-in-arms. Beyond his prowess in combat, Ser Riddick has a unique affinity for the wilds of the Vale. He has spent years studying the flora and fauna of the region, learning to live off the land and navigate its treacherous terrain with ease. This knowledge has made him an expert tracker and scout, often venturing deep into the mountains of his family's land. Ser Riddick's connection to nature also manifests in his approach to warfare. He employs guerrilla tactics, using the landscape to his advantage, setting traps, and launching ambushes on unsuspecting enemies. His ability to blend traditional combat with unconventional strategies makes him a valuable asset to House Ruthermont and a feared opponent to their enemies. He fought bravely at the Battle of the Lance and the Siege of Heart's Home, leading Ruthermont, Handy and Coldwater soldiers into the fray of battle, as the walls of the Corbray castle were compromised. It's said he drew first blood when they breached the castle. He was recognized by King Otho for his bravery after the war.
