Coastal Feywilds
The portion of the Feywilds that begins eastward of Pwllgwyn and extends northward, descending into a suffocating tropical jungle. A narrow strip of uncovered beach sports a trail to encircle the tangle.
Geography
It wasn't a distinct region until fairly recently, when the urbanization of Bierland cut a path through what had been known as the Great Northern Feywilds.
Ecosystem
It is a comparatively young scar on the face of Mother Melora, but time has kindly guided it into the relatively early stages of natural ecological revival. There have been no earnest attempts at further urbanization of the area since the withdrawal of the Contructive Forces.
Fauna & Flora
A hot, thick tangle of vines and tropical flora present a wall that would feign break before even the weightiest of machetes.
The monsters in these Feywilds are hardly obligated to contain themselves to the trees when there is only a ribbon of sand between them and the Black Moon Sea.
History
About a century has passed since the final obstructing tree was wrenched from the skin of Mother Melora, marking the completion of a 50 year long project begun by the Regis Bier, the insane aim of which was to cut down the entire Great Northern Feywilds.
In the end, he amended his to aim to clearing one wide swath through the forest to enable material passage to Pwllgwyn so that Bierland might thread it upon its string of loosely governed poorly attached townships. It is the first ever recorded effort to beat back the natural boundaries of the Feywilds by force.
The incalculable cost in blood of this endeavor was borne by genertions of Bierland citizens, although few are left alive who retain both their memory of the horror of this conquest and their lucidity.
