The Feywild

Geography

The Feywild is a reflection of the Material Plane, under the stipulation that mortal civilization never landed upon its soil. Instead, it is a realm of eternal natural beauty, divided into four main "countries," of sorts, called Seasons. Each Season is led by one of the four Archfey, and its influence is as strong as its leader. They each all hold different kinds of Fey, and climates appropriate to that season. The Season of Spring is led by Titania, the Heart of Spring, and holds an eternal climate of flowering trees, growing plants, light rain, and kind fey. The Season of Summer is led by Oberon, the Wolf of Summer, and holds an eternal climate of pleasant warmth, fully-grown plants, and passionate fey. The Season of Autumn is led by the Withering Knight, and holds an eternal climate of pleasant cool, warm-coloured falling leaves, decaying life, and the fewest population of fey. The Season of Winter is led by the Queen of Air and Darkness, and holds an eternal climate of constant snow, slick ice, dark skies, and cold-hearted fey. During each of those seasons on the Material Plane, that Season in the Feywild holds the most dominion, and their Archfey holds the most power, especially so on the solstice or equinox. By contrast, the opposing season holds the least dominion, and their Archfey holds the least power, especially on the solstice or equinox. The other two are relatively unaffected.
