The death of Drisintralin Shadowblade was abrupt and devastating, plunging the drow of Mori'tarna to a darker era. For this reason, Drisintralin's story is often left in the shadow of her daughter Shynt'vyrae, who would pick up her mantle; yet she was a powerful woman of her own right.
Hardy yet generous, Drisintralin was a rather traditional and keen-eyed individual, whose presence demanded respect. Considered cursed due to her inability to get any daughters for centuries, Drisintralin was very defensive about her offspring. With her stubbornness with her plans for her only daughter, she got a nasty and somewhat unwarranted reputation as coldhearted, an impression some still hold to this day.
Physical Description
Body Features
Like most of her family, Drisintralin was extremely tall Drow woman, with obsidian-black skin and pearly white hair. Her skin was partially covered in black dragon scales, as proof of the sorcerous blessing in her blood. Her eyes were silvery-white, and she had a muscular frame, giving her an intimidating profile.
She was barely never seen with her hair open, but more often on several braids. Rumours tell she was rather unsatisfied with the texture and volume of her hair, so she would treat it and manage it whenever possible.

Personal history
Drisintralin was born on the 22nd of Novar, the year 3097. She was the second child and first daughter of Jhinriia Shadowblade, destined to be the Mother of Shadows herself one day. She took this burden very seriously ever since she was a young girl, trying to match her image of the perfect, powerful matriarch.
She gave her early years for the pursuit of better standings in Yanta Menohtar, not marrying before way over her 200's. She was married with Tluthgloth from the House Moonrage though it seemed more out of obligation than out of actual passion. Pair did grow together during the years, though they became infamous with their bad luck when trying to conceive a daughter to continue the family line.

Intellectual Characteristics
Stubborn and driven were words often used to describe Drisintralin. Less volatile than many other members of her family, Drisintralin was seemingly more calm and cold, though this might have been only on the surface.
She was very intellectual and liked to herself present herself as rational, patient, learned and controlled, but among her closest confidants, she was known as someone with a big heart and with a tendency to trip over her own emotions. While not really a fault, Drisintralin did not feel it was appropriate for her to show so much of her softer side, she often covered it under a more controlled presentation. She got easily stuck in her own comfort zone, for better or for worse.
That said, Drisintralin was very fair-minded, generous and diplomatic. She tried to always encouraged herself and others are the best versions of themselves and drove them to work towards their ambitions.

Contacts & Relations
One of the closest allies and friends of Drisintralin was Quelylnsyn Whisperstep, whom worked as her closest advisor. Due to their close relationship, they raised their children together, and eventually Drisintralin's son Spiragharagh and Quelylnsyn's daughter Phyrace'qualyn were wed as sign of alliance between the two families. Drisintralin and Quelylnsyn died together, in the failed negotiation between Islenor and drows of Mori'tarna.
Family Ties
As it often is in house Shadowblade, Drisintralin had a large family, and had several kids. She was daughter of Jhinriia Shadowblade and Barindrin, originally from house Moondancer.
Drisintralin had a total of 5 siblings. She had 3 brothers; Fyrataras, Jaratariar and Ilatareth, as well as two younger sisters Quarress and Cezretha. Her sister Quaress would later found the House Silverblade, leaving the Shadowblade name.
Drisintralin married Tluthgloth from house Moonrage and they had total of 5 children. They had 4 sons; Phyxaonar, Vornolgatar, Spiragharagh and Tazataryl, and they had only one daughter, Shynt'vyrae.
