Oshon Coalition
"After the southern scourge was dealt with the forces of the Oshon alliance looked to return to their previous lives, this essentially meant that the races would go back to their separate isolated communities. What happened ended being one of the slowest demobilization in history: excuses for packing up camps, impeded supply lines back, excuses upon excuses for why certain units couldn't go back. What the leaders found was that the many cultures of the races had blended together, dwarf smithing combined with gnome tinkering, Aarakocra scouts and halflings working together in teams to get accurate maps and troop movements, Exemplar Unparalleled is spreading among everyone. So a decision was made, the alliance would transform into a national government."

Structure
The Oshon Coalition is comprised of a ruling council with one representative from each member race, each having an equal voice, council is overseen by the Primarch.
Anyone can become Primarch, but the council must agree the candidate will put the coalition first and foremost, regardless of prior affiliation. The next requirement is they must have done something that greatly helped the coalition. Finally they must complete a serious of challenges, these challenges can change through centuries to reflect what is needed of the position of Primarch.

History
Before the founding of the Oshon coalition the region occupants were very insular, didn't interact much beyond basic diplomacy and trade. The races would deal with the occasional raid from the wildlands on their own, in 1020 AGF another incursion happened, but it was more then a raid. The first signs included a major migration of gnomes and humans from the flatlands that were right next to the wildlands, they spoke of the raids being more structured and the appearance of actual tactics. This information fell on deaf ears, more refugees began to flood in which caused a food crisis, the dwarves and halflings managed to setup up hasty defenses but were slowly pushed back into the complex cave network. Lady Cragarmour managed to redirect several lava flows which bought them some respite, as this was going on each race had sent separate emissaries to their neighbor the kingdom of Scouria. Scouria had the means to help but having to deal with multiple parties proved to be tense, so they nearly expelled every emissary, this incident laid the groundwork for what would become the Oshon alliance. Each party left behind a representative and the rest headed back and started to organize, there were growing pains but faced with their extinction the separate races pulled together.
Refined into a cohesive force the Oshon alliance started to regain ground, at the same time the emissaries in Scouria convinced them to send aid (pointing out that they would be next to fall if Oshon fell). in 1022 AGF the Alliance had regained most of their lost ground, they prepared to do final battle with their foe, it proved to be costly as they found themselves against magic and equipment they didn't think could come out of the Wildlands, but in the end they proved victorious. As the dust settled the races realized they liked unity they had achieved and it was decide that they'd continue the close knit relationship, the alliance had transformed into an enduring coalition. Their first order of business was to ensure such an incursion never happened again, so a mass network of fortifications was ordered to be made in the flatlands, this would become known as Thurgan's buffer (in honor of the dwarf who died single handedly holding the line while lady Cragarmour redirected the lava flows). The project proved to stress the Coalition coffers so they expanded their mining operations and wasted nothing, this would lead to the Quartz crisis.
