Empty Truth
The Empty Truth is a sect of the Divine Council that was established after Quinn Glorybuff was added to the ranks. It was formed and led by Celrir Alpin with the purpose of causing Planar Melding between the Divine Plane and mortal realm.
History
The Empty Truth believes that not only it is mortals given right to become one with the Founding Gods but it is also what the gods want. The group dreams of a future unity between deities and mortals, uniting the great minds of mortals with the great magics of the gods. Their goal is to accomplish this by casting the spell Planar Melding . They believe that with this spell successfully cast, the gods will smile down upon humanity, Natdivida specifically, and tout their praises. Their founder and Leader, Celrir Alpin, developed these beliefs and has been instumental in creating the plans that came to fruition at the Reckoning and the Retribution. The members of the group believe that Celrir can speak directly with Cideva. As per Celrir, She is the source of all of his plans surrounding the melding. During the Reckoning, Celrir designed a system of tunnels in the massive arcane base of Seraphim, the floating city, that the spell could be cast through. He and his followers placed the remaining large pieces of the Divine Anchor (see Planar Anchors) throughout this system of tunnels to channel the magic and unite the plans. Obviously, this plan failed as Seraphim instead fell to the ground crashing into Natdivida and killing tens of thousands of people. Following the Reckoning, Celrir and the other Divine Justices were placed in jail or killed. The people of the Empty Truth sat in stasis for three months. Then, Celrir reached out to them through letters describing the new plan. They immediately got to work, forming a network across the cities in Natdivida and some other cities across the globe. The plan was split into two parts. The first was to send teams of 8 out to each of the anchors to get a major piece of the anchor. The second part was to train spellcasters to summon beings of each plane to be used as sacrifice in the spell, as blood of beings from that plane is a component to the spell. About 10 months after the Reckoning, Celrir escaped from prison and successfully reunited with the Empty Truth. They then got to work under Natdivida - City. They made a metallic worm to bore tunnels under the city, and set up a crude base to prepare for the ritual. During the Retribution, they worked both above and below the city to ensure the ritual was successful. Under the city, a group of 8 spellcasters summoned creatures from the planes and with the help of Celrir killed them and drained their blood for the ritual. Once it was ready, Celrir cast the spell Planar Melding, with the new recipe of components. The spell once again failed, causing rifts to expel giants rock-like formations into the sky. There were 4 surviving members of the empty truth in addition to Celrir Alpin.Known Members
