Planes

The connection to the extra-planar is what powers the magic in Meridian. The ability to contact and access this magic is fueled through the Planar Anchors . Each of the planes listed below (unless otherwise noted) has a corresponding planar anchor that allows their magics to occur in the world.

Elemental Planes

• Fire: A bright red plane with cities of fire elementals (city of brass).
• Earth: A dark plane filled with endless tunnels, earth elementals, and maybe even a tarrasque
• Water: A plane of endless water. Kraken's and other monsters of the deep live freely here
• Air: A plane of clouds with only pockets of islands.

Neutral Planes

• FeyWild: A plane that includes all of the fey creatures. A wondrous plane that is forever in twilight. Hags, faeries, talking animals, etc. The Seelie and Unseelie court reside here.
• Shadowfell: If the feywild is eternal twilight, the Shadowfell is eternal dusk. The plane sucks joy and most of the creatures here are made of the shadows and will pull lost souls into their eternal night.

Lower Planes

• Ocean of Iron - Hell (Demons - Chaos). The ocean of iron is a lawless land where wars are constantly fought over no reason. There is wanton blood lust and an unending thirst for death.
• Frozen Abyss - Hell 2.0 (Devils - Lawful). The Frozen Abyss by comparison is a much more calm place, but after looking at the endless bureaucracy that exists to maintain order, it is as much hell as the Ocean of Irons is.
• Nexus of Insanity - In between the ocean of iron and the frozen abyss. Similar vibe to that of Pandemonium. There are endless sands that blow in the winds. These can drive anyone insane as it can be too loud to hear your own thoughts.

Upper Planes

• Undying Reach - A plane of heaven. This is where the Divinity are sealed. Rivers flow of gold, white marble adorn the courthouse of Cideva. Truly a beautiful place that is perfect.
• Hallowed Sanctum - A transitory plane where the courthouse of Cideva in the Undying Reach meets the Ethereal plane. This acts as a Judgement area. Souls that pass judgment are sent to the afterlife of thier choice (one with their gods, one to observe their loved ones in the ethereal plane, or simply to disparate). Those who fail judgement are sent to the Lower Planes.

Other Extra-planar Spaces

• Ethereal Plane - Where the ghosts exist.
